Talk to Mat Anderson & Nabs. They were down there yesterday around the same times, and did pretty well.

Just watch out for chain link fences down there... They break your rod tip >

    Hey
I have been doing pretty well at manly the last few days.. mainly bream and dropped a jewie and a big trevally. The jetty is a good place to start also along the rockwalls. If you can get as close to the marina as possible-- there are some monster fish in there. There are some spots that you are allowed to fish that you can get some casts up against the boats and pontoons.
    hope this all makes sense

    Hey Nabs,
Are the off limits areas marked or is it just local knowledge? I am considering a trip to the harbour this week, probably tomorrow.

Not the new rod Shayne luckily!!!

The 6'6 rod that's been bashed around for years... It's ok though... I just broke of the extra rod bit down to the next guide and kept fishing!

Just doens't cast light weights as well anymore...

4x4Frog - It's going to be REALLY windy down there I think tomorrow. I didn't fish there today due to the wind, and tomorrow looks worse But if it's not windy, I'll be there. Look for the "dalmation" 60 series landcruiser

It's a little rainy here this morning too probably the same down there I'd guess might have to leave it a day or so.
Yesterday afternoon here in Wishart it was blowing about15-20knots at 6pm when I was trying oto cook dinner on the back deck, you'd open the top of the BBQ and it'd blow all the heat out and onto you. I wonder what Manly/bayside was like because it was E-SE most of the time

There arent any Signs saying you cant fish..but basically if you have to get to the spot by jumping a fence.. you cant fish there.

When it gets windy the fishing does slow down a lot..

    Thanks Nabs.
I'd probably not venture to climbing fences I have a tendency to fall of things like that and to come home after a fishing trip with bark missing would give my good lady weeks of barbs and jibe material and I aint going to do that now am I

    Re: manly?

Rock walls are on the northern end of manly boat harbour.

Get there by driving into the car park near the swimming pool, on the northern side of the pool, drive around and you can get right to the front edge of the wall.

    Cheers

Ambedexterous too Balancing and casting at one time, woohoo. You'd have to be careful to fall on one side or the other though as the middle ground would leave you breathless to say the least
