    Turkey Beach

I am heading up to Turkey Beach in November, I have not been up that way and I'm after some information on the area both fishing in the estery systems and outside. Any other information on the area would be great.
    thanks

hey mate fished there a couple of years ago, but im definatly no expert on the place...
the estuary fishing, ie, flicking lures for jack, cod and even barra at times etc will make up the majority of ur fishing. remember to basically only take SHALLOW diving lures, the creeks arent very deep,ur best bet is to get a very detailed map, i dont know if google earth might have one detailed enough, and follow ur nose basically.probly best to jump in the 4wd and follow the roads to ur spots.... u can also fish the boatramp for salmon etc but ther are alot of pickers etc. outside is an absolute smorgus board! ther are a couple of main reefs that are worth checking out, inner and outer rock. GET A CHART! the mackerqal and cobia have grown up in a radiation testing zone and are a cross between godzilla and a fish! MASSIVE! basically generic fishing stles for outside, bottom bashing and floating for macks and cobes. hope it helps

ps. remember to take ample terminal tackle etc, even bait.....as turkey beach is a bit like deeeep south america.....i bit behind.......the gear they do have is very expensive.......like everything else u HAVE to buy in town.....

ppss.. u may wanna sent a pm to "banshee" this bloke has fished ther for while and knows his shit on the area....

    hope it helps

i'd be taking that and some good sandfly repellent. it gets pretty bitey up there that time of year. take a yabbie pump to get fresh bait, plenty of yabbie banks around there. a few rocks you need to watch out for at low tide up the creeks... as magicmarlin said best to get a chart and check it out on there.
