hi jez,
just spent a week up at noosa camping & for the whole week fishing every day off the beach at munna point i only produced 1 whiting and a couple of under size bream no doubt due to school holidays.however i did happen to see some very good whiting caught over in the frying pan which if you dont know it is up towards the bar there is like a great big section of water which is only accessible by small craft or canoes definatly worth a try .the other spot that i could recomend where i did see some trevally being caught was in the channel off munna point where the yellow crossover is & drift down toward the bridge that goes over the water the fish that i saw caught were caught closer to the beach on the other side of munna point. i did go on a deep sea fishing trip on friday & i hooked up to 2 bonito ,2 parrot & a tailor.the rest of the boat ( 8 people ) caught 2 bonito 1 cobia ,1 pearly & 1 squire.i hope the weather is as nice as it was for us we just luv it there .

Hi Jez
I'm new at Kayak fishing but I know one thing that got me interested and that's Bill "Billybob" Watson fishing Noosa offshore in his Perception Swing.
I bought one this week after much research but mainly after reading this article.
Check this link then ask Billybob the questions, I'm sure he could help. http://www.fishingnoosa.com.au/yakatt.htm
Hope it helps
Paul
Billybob will definately be the man to ask in relation to hitting offshore...
If you are wanting to troll some lures, you can't go past a gold lure such as a C-Lure jack snack... Any tackle store shall be able to introduce you to them...
I certainly suggest trolling between Woods bay and Munna Pt Bridge... You shouldn't have any trouble getting into the trev population and flatties. You may also get the added bonus of a cod, jack and giant herring!
