Hi again, after the great response to my first post I thought i would push the friendship and pick some brains again.
I hear alot about gutters and sand flat runoffs, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a website or book on how to identify these I guess you would call them structures?? I have not done alot of beach fishing but would love to have ago at it. It seems that most of the fish i would like catch can be caught beach fishing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi smiley_doobinator
mate when fishing the Beaches you look for good deep gutters with entries and exits if heading to the GC try down next to the pumping jetty about 500 to 1000 mtrs from the jetty heading south you will always find a good gutter there also have a look a the Bush and Beach or F&b magazines they are full of hits and what to look for.
also try of the rock walls or entries to rivers from the sea normally some good fishing holes there as well Elephant rock at currumbin creek is another good spot snapper rocks or the seaway wall right of the tip near the beacon has produce some very good catches
Steve you are a legend thanks heaps for that info mate what a champ. I'll dedicate my first beach catch to you and post a photo. heading down to the GC this weekend. Thanks mate.
