Re: reefies and pelagics around ungowa?
The little creeks would be a great place to explore in the punt but could be an issue if the wind comes up. You can always sneak down to Garry's and that opens up a whole lot of mangrove country to check out with a deep hole at the northern end of the anchorage.
This area throws up quite a few surprises . Look forward to your report on the trip
Don't forget the pots
Cheers

Re: reefies and pelagics around ungowa?
Take the punt, just south of Ungowa its a maze of mangrove islands, mud and sand banks and creeks. You can travel right through to Garrys without rejoining the main channel, very protected. A mate has had good sessions even from the bank north of the jetty landing Trevs and Tuna on raiders in the same session. Some big noahs come chasing through there as well. You'll love the place. on the other side youve got Turkey flats, butchers creek, endless opportunity. That's it im going up there this weekend now bugger the kids footy presentation day.
