Fishing in and around Brissie

Hi Guys (and any Gals)

looking for some local Brisbane intelligence on good local fishing spots in or close to Brisbane? I live in the Northern suburbs and I have fished Samsonvale dame before but am keen to try the Brissie river or any canals in and around the suburbs?

Any ideas folks? I am not the biggest or greatest fisherman so will not be taking anyone's hotspots, a little advice/guidance is all that is wanted...

if you have a tinnie the pine river produces some good flathead and bream and if you have the patience there are the odd jack there as well
