Fishing From The Gold Coast To Sydney

this week I'm delivering a 30ft boat from the gold coast to sydney - by sea not highway.

we're going to put in first at Coffs harbour and then at Port Stephens, then all the way to Sydney.
    I'm very excited.

What fishing needs to be done ? I'm open to all types, and don't everyone say marlin at SWR or wherever they are! I'm after variety It'd be really good if people could be quite specific.

    cheers

    Hi,
well umm, theres a really good spot just off a town halfway up the coastline, i think there may be a few islands around, from what i remember, give it a go, and let us know how you went.

I dont think the warm current is switched on down there yet. Tell em they'll get their boat next month.
slow troll islands and headlands , bottom bash the million and a half reefs at your disposal, keep your eyes peeled cos you are sure to come across some feeding action somewhere along the way so have spinners handy

really it depends if your hugging the coastline or running wider. With the prevailing currents available any smart skipper would go out there for the run 'down the hill'.
so its going to depend on how much time/fuel constraints you have, and of course sea conditions.

    sounds like fun. enjoy yourself.

You ne3ed 3 rods per crew member.

1/ Set up for trolling lures
2/ set up for bottom bashing
3/ set up for spinning lures to throw at feeding schools you are bound to se on the way

And a video camera, we all want a video of the trips highlights posted on here

    Enjoy, i am totally jealous
