Hey guys im just new to the sight but thought id reply and get in the action. was out friday morning Fishing the Rous Channel to the chain banks and what a great morning.

Got busted off 3 times by what would assume to be some hungry mackeral before landing 3 undersized mackeral. The Tuna started boiling the surface at around 6am and landed 3 decent mack tuna in about an hour. The weather got better and better all morning and at about 11am i headed back not wanting to push my luck with mother nature.

Also hooked up to a shark at around 5 feet which was nize enough to let go at the boat.

If you are leaving from Scarborough or Bribie there are productive beacons that are a fair bit closer to base. The above precautions apply heading out to them as well

What beacons would you recommend? Or are all the beacons equally as good?
