    Ballina Javelin Fish

    We caught 2 of these before dark last night while waiting to catch livies for Jew outing. It wasn't till we got home last night that we could actually identify the fish. As far as we could tell it was something cross between a Jew and a bream #.
    I've never caught any of these before here (upstream from Ballina) and to catch two of them within an hour was a bit different... shame they weren't bream #

    I also have caught a grunter in Northern NSW, Evanshead in Fact. i Was fishing for Jew with live bait, and i had a baited rod out the side and hooked one of these northern inhabitants. It was only about 25 - 30 cm but he could fight!
