    g,day jayrum ; i find live herring,or the tail half of a pillie the best on a out going tide.

    cool thanks, i heard that it sneaks up on you to is that true? or is pretty much easy going ?, i'm a bit of night fisher don't get out other wise.

    i might try tomorrow down there , if i have no luck at buckley's i have a spot just down from the jetty that you some times get some nice grassy sweetlips but mostly mose's perch nothing to get over the moon about just a way point i have in the sounder that's good for a catch when the kids come out for a run.

    I find that the last couple of hours of the run out tide - especially when that conincides with dawn - is the best time to fish there. However in the last couple of months I have only managed a few keeper fish - plenty of tiny Tarwhine, Bream, the occasional small pike and one monster 83cm Flathead is my score for nearly 40 hours of fishing through November and December.
