Help with Lowrance 3500 globalmap gps
Hi All
Mate purchased a lowrance 3500 globalmap and we are trying to set it up.
The problem is that it wont find the sats.
the manual says to go to map page and scroll to local area and then innilizes. when doing this, after a couple of minutes it goes back into demo mode (the manual states that it should go to auto search if no sats found). the external arial was sitting about 10' from mine and mine was picking up 8.5 sats
any ideas please
cheers

Re: Help with Lowrance 3500 globalmap gps
G'day Blaze,I have a 4800 GlobalMap and had the same problem, now I'm not saying that my fix will be the same as yours so make sure that you don't fry anything, the antenae on mine needs to have 12 volt power conected directly to itwith a fuse to make it work, might be the same with yours, might not, just recheck the antenae instalation instructions carefully, from memory mine were prety vague.
