    Monitoring Water Temp

When I installed my sounder I opted for the thru hull transducer which meant I lost the temp feature on the sounder At the time I wasnt too worried about it but it is definately a feature I missed.

Looked at a brochure the tother day and It had a Min Kota stand alone temp unit..cost $44

Gave it a test run yesterday and its all [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Gonna be chasin a few pointy fish this year so I figure it may be handy

For those that chase the pointy things how does temp changes affect your trolling patterns

    Re: Monitoring Water Temp

Hey Garry, got a temp tracking graph on mine, in practical terms we came across a patch of spotties last yr in 19deg water, 2 miles east it was 24deg, it comes in handy if your not following those things closely as it shows the graph over a time frame, I find the temp of more interest on dull days where the signs are not as obvious to the naked eye.

    Hi Rob,

unfortunately it doesnt have a graph, but it does have min and max in the memory.

At least I will have some idea this year rather than flyin blind.
