    Two sounders on one boat

I have a 435 Hornet with a transom mounted Matrix 20. I would like to add a second sounder to the bow mount electric, but I am concerned about the two units interfering with one another.

Does anyone know what unit I can purchase that will not cause interference with my current unit? Is a different frequency the only thing i need to worry about here?

Also, what units to people recommend in general to mount on a bow mount electric - this would mainly be used for working shallow rivers, etc when casting lures, etc?

    Thanks for any advice.

There is a possibility you will get some interferance from two units on the same frequency when they are both turned on.
However we have fitted and know of many dual Matrix/Humminbird boats that have no problem.

To be sure different frequency units will be safe.

off the stear i could see you haveing problems unless they were mounted as far apart from each other but haveing them side by side yes i would think you would have problems

As long as they are operating in different frequencies , 2 or more sounder will work fine but if both are working in the same frequency , the more powerfull one will affect the less powerfull sounder's screen , vertical stripes will appear .
