    JRC JFC 56

    I just bought a boat with the JRC JFC 56 echo sounder. can anyone tell me how to take it off simulation mode and make it show me what's really on the bottom?

    There should be a special function key press this to bring up simulation menu

    Yeah, there should... The "Mode" key gives all sorts of options, not including simulation! Perhaps it's a "shift" function, although I've tried a few combinations with no luck. opefully, someone with a JRC or having used one, will read this and wave me a majic wand!

    Hi Steve, thanks for your offer to borrow manual, however I haven't got the airfare from NZ at present, just bought a boat... Have you got time to have a look and send me instructions?

    You can turn the internal simulator off by the following steps.

    From the Main Menu display, press the SETUP button to enter System Set-up mode.
    Press the soft key indicated below the NEXT on screen until your reach page5.
    Use the Mid > key on the left side to turn the simulator OFF.
    Press the SETUP key to exit the set-up mode.
