PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant VBA_SCRIPT - assumed 'VBA_SCRIPT' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in ..../includes/functions_navigation.php(802) : eval()'d code on line 1 Formatting NT+ Card
I have a Navman Trackfich 6600 with an NT+ chart card that covers from the Tweed to Gladstone (I think). Anyway, I noticed the data for the broadwater is virtually non existant. After mucking around with it the other day, I saw in the card info page of the plotter is dais tha the card was unformatted. According to the manual, this indicates the card has errors and need formatting, with a warning that tracks & points will be lost when you do this.
So, anyway, I tried formatting the card, but it came back with an error saying it cannot format the card. Anyone seen this before? Is it important to format the card?
I would think formatting would delete all info on the card. It sounds as if it may have some corruption in the card or bad contacts. I would clean the contact points and if it persists contact C Map.
Don't format the card, you will overwrite all the files.
I have a Navionics card with exactly the same issue, limited data in the Broadwater area. I spoke to Nvionics about this and they said that they can only include data that they are licenced to use and the available data is very limited. They were expecting more data to be released in the near future and upgrades would be available then. They would let me know. That was in July last year, as yet no news.
Navionics gave me the impression that all card manufacturers were providing the same level of data, but who knows.
I have an additional beef in that all the features on the chart seem to be offset by about 20 metres to the west. Datum is set correctly to WGS84 so I am a little puzzled by that.
