    Help-Lorenz World Map GPS

Does anyone out there own a Lorenz GPS that takes the old (1999) style C-Map cartridiges (450mm x 250mm.) I have two cartidges that have all my marks on them, but I no longer have the unit. I sold it with the old boat. I now have a Lorance which doesnt take this sort of cartridge.
I need to find someone that has this older unit or a 'reader' so I may be able to put my cartridge in and copy by hand writing all the marks so I can then put them into my new unit, by hand!
I would apreciate any help as I'm having trouble remembering all my land marks!
    Help.
    Cheers

Have you tried plugging the card into a computer mermory card reader?

I am sure that if you try that in conjunction with a GPS mapping program such as oziexplorer you will be able to access your files.
You should also be able to simply load them back on to the new card.

I would try it for you, but then I would have all your marks. I promise I wouldn't look at them though.

Seriously, if you need any help, I'm more than willing to contribute.

    Cheers

    Sorry Mono,

I don't think I can help, but I think your card is a C-card and if you can find someone with C-Map PC planner and card reader, your problem might be solved.
But you probably know all that and I have been no help whatsoever.

Thanks anyway Frank. Contacted Lorance today and because I now own a 7500 they were more than helpful and i think we have the problem beat.

Mono - I can arrange some secure server space at work if you want to email those marks to me in Excel

They will be safe with me

    Cheers
