how good is a Garmin 250 sounder?

Hi guys, I mainly fish fresh water rivers and dams with a bit of estuary fishing thrown in. I've been looking at the Garmin 250 sounder and was wondering if anyone has any input into whether this sounder would suit my needs?
Or maybe I should look at something else??
Your opinion would be appreciated.

For the work you mentioned, it'll be fine. I run a FF120 and find it ok and with the added power and quality of a FF250, it'll do the intended work with ease.
