Furuno advice
I have a 600l and it seems to work really well however I have only seen fish apear in light and dark blue colours so far and we have caught a few nice mixed reefies. Is this fairly common or do other colours apear with bigger and better fish.

Re: Furuno advice
Maxi,
what colour back ground are you running and how many bit 8 / 16?
Look to the left of the screen and it has the colour scale and rates from the weakest signal on to the strongest at the bottom.
Great sounder and dont dismiss any colour on the screen.
Cheers

Re: Furuno advice
Worth remembering that sounders pick up the air bladders of fish and not the body mass.
In most cases the bigger the bladder the bigger the fish but that is why sharks are very difficult to locate - only small bladders.
Don't forget to use MANUAL GAIN as it gives you a much better pic than auto (or so I reckon)

Re: Furuno advice
Steven, I am using white background 16bit, are you shure the strongest colours are at the bottom as the bottom colour is blue and I see this all the time.
Cheers,

Steven, 16 bit with a white background, are you sure that the colour at the bottom of the colour bar is the strongest as I see blue all of the time and it is on the bottom.
