    Lowrance Sonar Logs

I notice on these Lowrance Fish Finders you can record a "sonar session" for playback later.
Has anyone actually done this? If so, can you put them somewhere so we can download them?
I'd love to see some "real world" sonar logs from ausfishers. Either post in here or PM me if you dont want the world to see it.

Not sure if this is something people guard closely, but I'm very keen to see someone elses logs.

    Cheers,

    Matt.

So, does no one have them, not interested in sharing them or does my breath smell again?

Hi Volcano, Tried mine out last week. Works a treat. Have to download the sonar viewer from lowrance. Let me know and I will try putting one up.

The logs are verrrrrrrrry big files. Like mine are in the 50+ Mb range, so uploading is a little difficult, Steve might not be too pleased about it.

The results though are very interesting. In reviewing the logs on the Sonar viewer you can fast forward, adjust sensitivity and even read the co-ordinates of any interesting marks for manually entering into the GPS.
Alternatively, you can play them back on your GPS/sounder combo by putting it into simulator mode and selecting your log file for the simulator. You and then mark any waypoints or other things of interest as though it were happening in real time. Mind you the neighbours soon become convinced that you are losing it when they see you sat in the boat for a few hours staring at your sounder.

If you are sneaky you can even play them through the emulator program that you can download from Lowrance. The files will work on any model, so you can even try the top of range colour sounders, and also see your tracks created as you run the file in the simulator mode.
