    garmin 276c

    guys when i brought my boat it was fitted with a garmin 276c gps and when it was switched off while on the boat it would charge the battery. since i removed the console and refitted another it wont do it again. whta wire have i failed to connect........ cause it sucks not know ing my way around cheers ian

    I have a Garmin 276c, although I don't know how you had it wired originally all you need to do is get another cable and plug it into a cigarette type socket. I use mine as a backup on my boat and also use it in the car. Hope it helps.

    Mate, I like it for almost every reason, the screen is a little small but then I only bought it as a back up. Every time I go boating it is turned on and compared with my bigger set. The one thing that I like about it is that you still have the map even when zoomed right in. Tracks are as little hard to see in daylight but then again I am in my sixties. The day night feature is excellent & for me the night feature is excellent. Mate I think it is a great G.P.S. & that it can also be used in the car is an added bonus for me. Anyhow I'm glad I bought it & have no regrets at all. Cheers. Barry.
