yeah mate,
Just use a 65A relay with the lanyard switch going throught the control circuit. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...Max=&SUBCATID=
I used a momentary pushbutton switch mounted on the control tiller so as soon as the operator lets go the outboard stops http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...Max=&SUBCATID=
There are other push buttons available that can be mounted anywhere.
This is not truely a lanyard switching scenario but works just as good without the hassle of chords
