    Now...Can some one help here......On my electric motor l have the transducer set up like you would at the rear on the boat.....But when l read the book it says point the transducer straght down when fiting it too a electric .......

    G'day
    I'd say thats because the electric is sitting way below the water, and doesn't need and angle on the transducer to combat "dirty" water.

    The only reason why you have to angle the transducer is when on planing hulls there is a fine line to make it work correctly with all the turbulent water around. On an electric, the whole unit is submerged.... making the fine tuning setup irrelevant.
