    Mounting transducer to bowmount electric

Anyone got any ideas or pics to help me mount a hummingbird legend 3000 transducer to a minn kota 55 ap bowmount elecrtric motor. Thanks Tony.

Not sure if this helps, I used a piece of that non-slip rubber material between the transducer and the motor to help the cable ties hold the transducer in place. Without this rubber it was hard to get a tight hold between the round motor and the flat transducer mount.

I used some 3M Rubber Splicing tape around the transducer cable before cable tying to the motor shaft to protect the cable from being crushed by the tie.

This was done on a Motorguide which may or may not be practical for the Minn kota.

    Regards Cameron.

Tony, have a look at the BLA web site, they sell a bracket to mount your transducer to the minn kota, coats around $37-40 from memory.

    Hi Tony,

when you wrap the tranducer cable around the shaft of your bowmount you will have to do it in a way that you can still adjust the height of your motor. I am referring to the clamp that you can adjust on the shaft to raise or lower motor in water depending on wether you are in shallow/deeper water and when storing motor when not in use.

If you wrap in around like the motorguides you wont be able to adjust if necessary.

    Cheers

    Aaron
