    Files...

I took the card out of the GPS and copied the 5 files onto my hard drive...All files are like this 8R135XL.nv2 the numbers at the front change in the last 4 but the nv2 is on all of the files...

Is there anyway i can view these files on PC or the only way u can view them is to put back in the GPS...The GPS is a
    Lowrance 5000c or 5500c...

Would love to see the whole mapping on pc so if anyone can help me...

Be very carefull with playing with propriety mapping data cards on a computer other than the unit they are specifically for.

Some systems are viewable on PC but you will have also have to have the software to do this and be prepared to pay for the privlidge.

Much of the third party propriety mapping data can be used in a PC but only with the use of software from the same third party providor, at an additional cost of course.

Just be very careful reading and attempting to copy chart cards.

    Regards, Kerry.

    MG,

Why don't you try OziExplorer. It's a mapping software programme with a freeware version available too. All you need to do is have your own maps to scan in and calibrate.

I believe, playing with copping Navionics cards can wipe them.
