200 bucks? Big ask! Only one choice and will need to shop to get the right price (under 200 bucks), a simple old straight yellow e-trex.

I was at AMart on the weekend, saw Lowrance iFinder GO units for $169. Basic unit, good price. If you want mapping capability they also had the iFinder H2O for 299

Have owned a 72 for about 18 months and can't fault it.Use it in the boat or when we go camping.Have just recently hooked it up to the computer so that side should be interesting.

    Have a look here

I had an etrex and upgraded to the 72. Definately worth the extra 70 odd dollars extra.

You can;t get maps with the 72.
Would have to go with a 76 if you want to use maps.

I'm chasing one too. I spoke to the guys at my local boat store and they're saying stay away from the Lowrance iFinder, cheap and nasty. He said they get quite a few returning with various problems. In their opinion better off getting the eTrex or 72.

GPS72 = NO MAPPING. Does have a Marine Point Database, not all that usefull but this is quite different to mapping.

The GPS 76 is not much different to the GPS 72 just a bit bigger screen and a few other differences. The GPS76 does not support maps and only has the same capabilities as the GPS72.

What you were probably meaning was a GPSMAP 76, which is mapping capable but quite different to a GPS 76.
