I have the "no gps information" showing as well. I've been thru the instuctions and tried both the NMEA & Navbus proceedures, should be NMEA, still doesn't work.
Looks like it's back to the dealer to check the GPS output wiring, or is there some programming step I missed?

I have recently connected my 7200 to my Humminbird Sounder/GPS combo.

It (the radio) displays the GPS coordinates within a couple of seconds of the GPS signal being acquired.

The wires that I used were:
1./ (NMEA output + ) from Sounder/GPS combo to Yellow wire on GPS connection on Radio (NMEA in + )

2./ (NMEA ground - ) from Sounder/GPS combo to Green wire on GPS connection on Radio (NMEA - )

It all seems to work fine for me - but once again, no happy fish have I seen.

    It seems to reflect real-life

One thing that has happened a couple of times, is that the radio starts ringing like a phone. The volume control has no control of the loudness of the ringing either.

I haven't yet entered a MMSID, so it can't be someone DSC'ing me yet.

I have set up the GPS alarm for when the radio loses the GPS signal.

I wonder if that was the cause of the ringing??? - The manual is no help in that regard.

    Time will tell, I suppose.

    Wyoming,
Try connecting the 7200 to the tracker via NMEA as some 7200 have software bug on navbus.

It draws SFA power, so it's not a big deal in terms of worry that your battery will die a long and painfull death.

I'm sure someone on Ausfish has the same unit, and does your Happy Fish show up???
Any suggestions to what may be the problem???

Hey Eddy, surprise surprise - My happy-fish lit up today a few minutes before junior nail an oversized grinner. The radio even gave an audio alert too!

So the happy-fish is not a myth.

Hey Sea Dog, lucky fella on both accounts, the Happy Fish and the Grinner, well still no Happy Fish on mine yet, might be as you said earlier, hav;nt had the right barometric pressures yet!!!

Roll on DRY SEASON, so the baro pressure will rise and then we will see what happens!! Eddy
