Ive noticed most users here are from qld and north of sydney. Try www.sportsfish.com.au they have mostly sydney melbourne users and they all get very excited over catching bream.

I'm an expat Sth Aussie girl who has travelled and fished the country and I'd kill to get back up north having a go at some decent fish.
My best was caught in QLD....80lbs of potato cod....in the picture you could'nt see the fish for my grin.
Thanks for the advice tho mate....much appreciated. If your ever hrading down this way let me know....I've got some great contacts up in the NE for trophy trout an yellowbelly.......oh yeah and some pretty sweet drining spots too

Yea no worries. 80 pound cod? nice. And yea up north the fishing is much better i believe but we cant have everything eh. Just last night i went to a fresh water wier with 2 mates and my friend kiel pulled out a 85 cm barra, very nice and fat also, 8kg in wieght. Anyway i hope you find someone in the know down there because id say there would be more to catch than just bream.
