Smelly, ive sent some ideas to your email addy re' the slugs, the point has to be made that they are not magic bullets, match a slug to a high speed spin combo and you will be dangerous to mackerel though
Thanks fellas got the details and will go and spend some $$'s tomorrow and give it all a go tomorrow evening, will keep an eye out on the weather, fingers crossed things will go to plan..
Weather didnt improve so looks like i'll have to leave it for another day
If anyone is planning a trip in the near future i'm keen to follow them out that way and perhaps learn a few tricks

Gee after hearing tonights weather forecast there might be more water in the boat than under it..lol.
Brownie is saying 15 to 20 on Saturday with rain at times between the squally showers and 15 knots on Sunday.....squally showers..
I will decide if the trip is worth going Saturday arvo.
Cheers Brent
G/day all im with you brent i think the fours will be to shitty for mine i goin to do a run up the rainbow channel to amity and around. Hey webby ill give you a call during sat morning to see whats going on ok ? Just got to get out last day of hols and one trip in 2.5 weeks JUST NOT CRICKET !
Could not stay landlocked any longer so hitched up the Sportfish and headed to Spinnaker Sound for a 4am kick off hoping to get a couple hours around the northern channel markers before the wind picked right up. I should have stayed at home ! That big swell was pouring through, the wind had already picked up making life a bit uncomfortable to say the least. Had no luck so left to come in around 8.00am. Get back to the boat ramp and this poor guy had dropped his new Quinny 530 bow rider on the ramp while backing down (no safety chain on plus had family in the boat while backing down).
Hi all, wont be fishing for at least a week, droped a block of concrete on the old big toe and doesnt look pretty, BUT after reading Sportfish_5 reply dont feel as bad...
Good luck to those who do manage to get out there over the weekend hope the weather holds out and fill us in on the details
you dont fish with your big toe! all you need is a deckie who can back the boat down the ramp, get it off the trailer, push off the shore, run around chasing all your fish on board,THEN run back up the ramp, back the car down again and put the boatback on the trailer and wash it out for you at home all you gotta do is stand there on your one good foot and fish all day long
