Re: Barra Fishing Trip to the Gulf – Room for 2 mo
Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you, work kills most passionsL.
Yep sorry i forgot i had put it here as well...
OK We’re planning a 5 day fishing trip,
we’re using is Paradice fishing tours and they’re making life easy when it comes to getting there, (instead of the usual plane hopping and kicking your heels in Darwin whilst waiting for the local connecting flight, followed by a 2hr trip from airstrip etc etc…) they’ve arranged a charter flight virtually door to door, Sydney to Borolloola for about the same cost as using scheduled flights.
The total cost for the trip will be about $3200 (not cheap i know but its the going rate for the gulf from here) but this includes O/night accom, food, and all fishing costs, boats etc we have to take our own rods etc for more details check out their website and call Mark Hanlon for travel details http://www.kingashbay.com/fishingtours.shtml
Re: Barra Fishing Trip to the Gulf – Room for 2 mo
Just a suggestion, why dont you all put the money together and get a 4wd and tinny. This way you can do these trips when ever you want and more often than once. Also you dont have to go to the gulf or more specifically boroloola for hot barra spots. There is plenty of places to go and the need for a charter is much less in northern aus territory. Fish are pretty easy to find up there, almost any water hole, creek, river, rockbars, and beaches will produce alot of barra. Just seems like alot of money to spend on something that will only last 5 days and then be gone.
