Short trip ??? ???
Tight Lines
Adrian
Yes, Adrian, short and sweet !
Percentage fishing.
Go there when the tide is right, wind is right and target species should be around. No need spend hours waiting for the fish to come on.
Then again, not all fishing is like that. But, spending 2 and a bit hours on the water, and bringing home a good feed, is cause for back slapping.

cloud 9 - whyte island has good access to the river, but the first few k's out the brissy road is generally crappy or worse, used to use it heaps but use manly now instead, not much further to downtown mud but quite a bit to the top end and further out. at least with manly there is some wind protection from the other two islands, and at high water you dont evem get your feet wet.
yes,i only use manly ramp.hardly any longer to mud but a whole lot better than river specialy since extensions out into spoils grounds.
Manly or Whyte Isl. doesn't matter to me.
Maybe an overnighter I'll use Manly for security. But as Kris says, better wind protection from St Helena and Green. Although that passage between Mud and St Helena can get awfully nasty at times.
The direct route from Manly to the S/E Yellow flasher is 1 K shorter than from Whyte Island.
Cheers
