    Re: Somerset Dam - Fishing

    G'day Rusky,

Send me a p.m with your address and I'll send you a mud map with some spots and lure tips marked on it.

I usually only do a couple of lure trolling trips to Somerset around October.

    Cheers
    Craig,

rusky as for hook sizes i use truturn fine wire size 4 and 00 or 0 ball sinkers the use of size 4 hooks does mean you will go through a lot of worms when you get hit by schools of bony bream but the hooks have proven themselves on some quite large yellas another trick when fishing for silver pearch with worms or live shrimp is to use sugar cubes as your sinker by half hitching it to your line just above the hook the sugar disolves the halfhitch pulls out leaving an unweighted bait on or near the bottom as for lures i use the deepest divers i have with the smallest bodies ie:MANNS 15 HOT LIPS DEEP DIVERS OR SOME OF MY HOME MADE STUFFTHESE I USE FOR TROLLING FOR CASTING IUSE SPINNERBAITS AND SOFT PLASTICS AS YOU CAN WORK A TREE OR STUMP WITHOUT PULLING THE LURE AWAYFROM THE STRUCTURE AND FISH HOPE THIS HELPS :GOODOO
