I have 3 spare spots on an 80 foot boat out of Gladstone on the 3rd of July . The cost is $1400 for the week . All meals and bait are supplied . The boat sails at 4 pm on Saturday 3rd of July ( steams all night arriving at swains early the next morning ) returning on the following Saturday the tenth at dawn . The boat takes 16 . We have had 3 regulars pull out due to business commitments hence the vacancies . For those of you have not been to Swains before , It is a huge reef system (the bottom end of the Great Barrier Reef ) 220 kms north east of Gladstone . The system of shallow reefs give you protection from the open ocean so a good part of your fishing is in dead calm water (no sea sickness) out of 14 foot dingies . The most common caught species are coral Trout , Sweetlip,Red Emporer and Parrot .The fishing is always top shelf . This is my 9th trip out and not my last . i might be keen for this trip! How is everyone getting there? Im in Brisbane anyone be able to give me a lift and i put in for fuel?.....Let me know then i can get back to ya asap!

Shane . There are people traveling from Brisbane , Toowoomba , Warwick and St george . I live in Toowoomba and so far have an empty car (my company car so fuel is free).Also the Bris fellas probably have some room . We do a cash deal with the boat owners (friends of mine) to avoid the GST which we turn into free beer . Because of that I have gotten a deposit cheque off of all the others . The cheque will not be cashed and returned to you to tear up on the day we leave . You then pay cash on the day .

im very keen!!!! so payment when leaving will suit me so i will work things out and get back to ya asap.......Ive always wanted to do a trip like this one!!!!......Im prety sure u can almost count me in! But ill let you know once again 100% asap!

See you've fished from Pentana in the past and hopefully enjoyed the fishing...I am unable to go at this time but have referred a friend to the site ..he has 2 friends who may want to go. I have a trip going on the first of Oct for a week with four vacancies...will make a new post for my trip.

you target whatever you like . I have hooked up a 40kg Juvenile black marlin trolling in a dinghy . You can fish in 15 feet of water chasing coral trout bottom bashing or move 1km and fish in 250 foot of water chasing spaniards trolling . Whatever rings your bell . Maybe this style of fishing is a bit down market for you ???
