    Heya DC,
The barra was caught at the pin (not in the surf) just recently and from what I am told made a very bloody mess on the 4by carrying it back. The local that told me saw it and I trust him, he doesn't need to BS about fish. Otherwise not much else detail.

Compare? hmmm was anyone else waiting to hear him say "you have selected fine french art for $200"
He would have made a good game show host, although was improving a little as the week progressed. Ian Healy did a great job

A crew that follows blindly? that would make life easier, my mates need blinkers on they get distracted way too easily.

    There's always next year

from what ive heard there used to be a fish farm up the logan that lost about 1 or 200 barra into the river about 10years ago.
think the barra was speared along the ledge on the pin side swan bay.
if anyone has info more accurate than this please post the details.

    Cheers Cloud 9

Bloody Barra in the Bay ????
What next Billfish in the Pine ?
I'm flat out catching a cold at the moment......Well that would be true if I hadn't had the flu for the past month.
Anyway thanks for the good reports guys.
I'm away with work in Adelaide at the moment so Ausfish is my only link with the real world right now.
    Cheers

    The barra weighed 19 kilos.
It was positively identified as a barra.
They guy says he speared it 'at the Pin' although he did draw a mud map which showed it near the entrance to Swan Bay.
He said there were three more of a similar size with that one.
