Hi Kevy
I'll be there from 29th for a week. Will be camping half way between Orchid and Ocean lake and only doing beach fishing for tailor etc. I assume you will be at Waddy Point beach camp where all the boats usually go? If I see you I will say gidday. I'll be in a metalic blue 1985 Pajero. All the best.

Lot of sand missing up that way, between there and Nagala Rocks. 10 foot sand bank, high tides up to the base and even a few casurinas fallen in. You might have to time your travels to avoid high tide. Plenty of sand back toward Orchid though.
Was there 17th to 24th July and not a lot of good beach formations up that way, and a lot of run. That of course changes all the time, so hope you have a good one when you are there.
Cheers
Jeff
Thanks for the info Jeff. Sounds like it has changed a lot. I was last there August 2003 and it was reasonable beach with a good lot of dunes in front of the trees where we camped. May have to find a new spot.
Morlers
Morlers,
Nah, Still a great spot mate.
Just a bit different to previous years I've seen it.
Think its mostly chewed out just north of orange creek.
Cheers
Jeff
PS Still plenty of sand a few kms north of the northern Orchid beach access, see pic.
