Took the wife down and ended up fishing Hastings Creek. Have a little spoy just behind the pottsville school just before the creek gets to the environmental reserve. Just caugt undersize bream. When we first arrived saw some good size whiting in there but they were spooked not long after we arrived by some yobos screeming past in their tinny. Water there is only a few feet deep and with the lack of fresh at the moment is pretty clear near the top of the tide. Noticed that the water started to get a bit dirty looking once it started to run out but by then I had used all the bait. I have caught monster whiting in this part of the creek before and have seen flatties here.
