Ive got some good friends leaving for tassie this week where they will be doing a lap around the island on motor cycles.they are keen beach fishos and so have packed a telescopic rod in the hope of catching a fish or two in their travels.I said i would post this for them as someone may have some info that helps or may want to take them for a fish.BLAZE

Strahan 8-11th Nov
Hobart 11-14th
Port arthur 14th
St Helens 15-18th
Davenport 18-21st

Strahan 8-11th Nov- Do the boat trip up the river, heads of the river, bait or metal slices, salmon, sea run trout,atlantic salmon beachs- salmon, gummy shark
Port arthur 14th Wrong time of the year (southern bluefin tuna) but some rock,beach fishing- flatties leather jackets wrasse etc (take care on the rocks
St Helens 15-18th Tuna marlin teritery, some good charters there would have to see who was available on arrival, Scammada River has good black bream and not far away
Davenport 18-21st now ya getting close to me, only 100km further norwest, about 1.5 hours easy cruisin through some pictureress country (green grass and rainforests), Tell them to ring me as I could give them a trip out to the islands on the farnorwest of tassie on the 20th subject to weather or find them a fish some where. If the weather was total crap they would get to see the best part of tassie
