Bait and fishing location tips for Lake Cootharaba

I'm going to Lake Cootharabah on the 4th Dec.for a week and would appreciate any tips on suitable bait to use and where to catch/collect it.I've heard you can get mangrove jack there but have never been up that way before so would really appreciate the run down on what I'm likely to catch and a few locations to try.

Try throwing a few pots along the eastern side mangroves. Have done alright for muddies along there in January before. Lost a pot for a couple of days and found it full of bream too. Eight good keepers over 30cm. Bait was the old christmas ham bone. Try for jacks back toward Tewantin.
