It's official, my stern words to mother nature have paid off and shes told me the weather this weekend will be perfect
So my question is how many Ausfishers out there will be joining us in the Spottie chasing game this weekend? Saturday my boat'll be crewed by JB, brad_watts and myself. Sunday I hope to be out again but with crew yet to be announced
We may also be spreading our wings a little and heading into the unfamiliar grounds north of Moreton towards Hutchies - wind and swell dependant of course and as long as we've bagged out on spotties first, LOL
Yep, i'm keen mate, will be armed and ready for a blood bath . Prolly leaving from whyte island michael, seems to be quicker when it comes to reaching northern bay areas. Should be a great day on the water. Grab danos mob via pm, we might be able to catch up if in same area.
Geday Craig ,
Good to see you last sunday on the water & say geday .
I hope you get into them this weekend , I ended up with nack all on Sunday . How did you fair in that storm ???
Sounds like a bit of a replay of last years 'Ausfish Mack Hunt' or the 'Great Shark Hunt' not long ago Hope it turns out better than both those expeditions We wont be on the water till around 9am - just to give you blokes a head start, lol Hopefully the Spotties sleep in as well It'll be good to meet a few of you blokes out on the water. No VHF on board Damon, mobile only. PM me for my number, that way you blokes can let us in on where they are - if you feel like shareing that is
Hopefully its not mayhem out there and the fish get spooked by all the boats
Well, looks as if we are takin a few boats on saturday and the trailcraft will be getting its feet wet in the bay for the very first time. Should be interesting to see how she goes. Dane an i will be leaving from whyte island and will see all u other boys out there.
Ahh yes, the possibility of catching a mackerel has seen a whole-lotta crew put their hands up and want-in, too many for one boat. So JB brings his boat up and we'll attack 'em 'Tag-team' style, lmao
So look out for not one, but two boats chasing the birds around the bay
DC
Gday boys, we'll be out saturday too....probably leave from Bribie though...tempting to go from further south though as the tuna were "on", on sunday. Dane PM me your mobile, we'll be out early, give you a heads up if we find some.
Bugger... even i'd be keen for this little trip but the bullbar is booked in for an 8am fit time. 2 hours work puts me at best around 11am hitting the water allowing travel time... I'll see how i go.
I'll be out and about taking some friends for a snorkel over at flinders on Saturday morning. Probably won't stop for a fish on the way but we'll be looking for some schools of macks after a swim. We'll then be heading into Tangas for lunch and a few drinks.
Gentlemen's hours of around 8:30-9 at Scarborough ramp and no doubt I'll see a few of you blokes floating around. Look for the big white half cabin (Bogey) with the radar on the roof.
Craig- I'll ring you tonight because tomorrow looks a goer as well. Probably take my brother for a mack hunt then a dive.
