    Off to the Bay

Yep, it's that time of year again, when the sounds of screaming Shimano's & Penn's are heard from far away.

Hervey Bay Spotties are in full swing.

I'm heading up 27th Dec for 2 weeks. ( yep, it'll be tough, but someone has to do it. ).

    "ReBait " ( 6.2 Sportfish 130Honda ) & "Skanky Hoe" ( 4.1 Stessl 40Yammie ) will be at the ready.

Staying at Torquay, just 300mtrs from the beach. For those who are going up as well, I'll see ya on the water, no doubt.

For those who are not, I may be able to post a " mid-holiday ' report here.

Youse know my number, call for a beer or a fish !

    Happy New Year etc, Phill

See ya up there Phill... the truck is packed, the boat is packed, i'm pumped and ready to go.

    16 hours till departure time.

Weather looks a little sad though, Showers and possible storms the first two days. Dejavu for me... as long as the 5 days after that aren't 40kn winds we'll be right.

The park on the beach at Scarness is good but if you're on a site close to the road, i recomend chaining anything down.

I haven't been to Happy Wanderer yet which is where i will be staying this year but on all reports its bloody good.

    Re: Off to the Bay

We had an absolute ball at Hervey Bay...Pity we could only
stay 4 nights...a big thanks to Phil for his hospitality &
advice on the area..we had only 1 days fishing & I sure
felt the wraith of the local tuna population..
Happy wanderers is a great place to stay..very clean
    & some big tent sites.
All in all..very very enjoyable..except the 6 hour trip
    home..damn traffic!!!
