Forecast V's Reality!!??

All week I've been looking forward to this weekend to get out for a fish - one of the few chances in a long while. Damn weather report keeps telling me 20 - 25 knots plus rain, now just down a tad to winds to 20 knots.

Sitting in my office at home all day, watching the welcome rain, WITHOUT a breath of wind ........ALL DAY...(well, certainly nowhere near 20+)
What gives? [smiley=dizzy.gif]

The question now is do I get the boat ready, and my boys hopes up and imagine that the REALITY of calm weather will be true, or do I believe the forecast which indicates the weekend is best left for boat and gear maintenance, sitting in front of the telly, etc.??

Fair dinkum, I know the forecasters job can't always be easy or accurate, but the gap between the forecast and reality lately has been huge! [smiley=wut.gif] [smiley=wut.gif]

What do youi guys reckon??

check out buoyweather.com and go to australia se - they are much more accurate than bom in my opinion/experience.

i always count on the liter inshore early part of the weather.
if your out early and back early you get a fish and home for lunch.

You know if we all get together, and tie all the leaves on trees up so they can't move, then they won't be able to cause all that annoying wind....!

I'm with simon on this one bouyweather is much more accurate in my part of the world, it's worth a look.
