Fished Phillips reef near Acheron Island last Thursday, plenty schools about (Mackeral, Queenies and Trevally types) on bottom only small stuff brought up but I think that was a moon phase (neep tides) & depth issue more than anything (OK I'm a gumby fisherman). Is acheron shoals near acheron island? (my mark for hidden reef is near here too) as I have a mark for "acheron shoals" out behind Maggie Island as well - I think its a missnamed waypoint.
Any fishing is good fishing(should probably say Any fishing is...probably going to be illegal soon)
Hi all,i'm thinking of heading out to Hidden reef & acheron early Wednesday morning from Saunders ramp, hope to get away @ 6am to beat the tide & come back mid afternoon.Has anybody fished out that way lately
I thought hidden reef and Acheron shoals were the same thing?? I checked it (Acheron shoals) out a little while back, and there were boats all over it.
