Advice needed for Friday night Moreton.

Advice for Moreton Island on friday night fishing around curtin with the wind direction and 10-15 knots what do you guys reckon heading out from Bribie about 3pm. Will stay out all night heading back mid saturday morning. It an old sytle boat about 18ft bond wood fiber glass grey base with yellow trim on the cabin johnson outboard about 115hp. If any of you guys are going out give us a wave on the marine cb call sign The Other Woman.

    Thanks Mark

    Nah but seriously.
I always like to drift fish the run out tide when at the curtain, suitable rig required.
Oh and don't forget the food. Some beers to wash it down will help.

Mate the way that storm come in Thursday arfo, more predicted for this arfo.I work at Redcliffe and look over at Moreton every so often,it doesn't look to good for an over nighter. We planned to go Thursday arfo and canned it at lunch time because there were storms over there then.Check out the radar on BOM and weather predictions,BOM get it right now and again.S.W. winds will make it a bit bumpy on the inside,it's getting back home against a run in tide with a southerly wind that bothers me.

"if in doubt, don't go out" sounds like it might apply here. Any W in the wind direction on the inside of Moreton will be very uncomfortable, and with the predictions of storms (and an old boat), you should think of another plan. just IMHO....
