I may see you out there. Thinking of having a leisurely afternoon with the kiddies chasing whiting in the same areas. I have not chased them for about 6 weeks, and then it was only very small summer whiting and a few winter whiting, and had to head up river to get them because they were not really around the bridges that day.
What sort did you get last week? Should I be packing #4 or #8 hooks?
I have an area just on the bramble bay side of the bridges near the hayes inlet buoys, as well as a couple more up river. Which side do you think I should go?
Will you be in the boat in your avatar? If so, I will keep an eye out and come and say giday.
I have had a bad experience near the Wells on the Redcliffe side, I run aground most times so tend to steer clear of that area.
All whiting caught last week were Decent sized winter whiting. All were kept in the live bait tank and later released as I couldn't be bothered cleaning them. Add to the fact I am not the worlds best filleter.
Tomorrow is a completely different story. Take no prisoners.
If numbers aren't plentiful I may keep them and use them as whole baits for next weekends trip up to Mooloolaba and possibly Barwon Banks, weather permitting.
I will be in the Stacer as displayed on my screen. Pop over and say G'Day.
Just spent half an hour buggerising round with computers. Had to swithch pc's due to a virus, and trying to do a simple a drive copy to a drive to get my boat pictures over and it has decided not to play....
Is an oldish 18ft Mustang half cab. See you out there.
