Have been granted a leave pass for Sunday morning. Was thinking of heading out to Salamander Rf to bash the bottom and drift some pillys in a nice berley trail. Any suggest somewhere better a bit closer in?

hey pelican, I`m planning on heading out that way in the morning to. Will be leaving the casino about 6 and stopping at the channal markers on the way for a jig. If your after somewhere in alittle closer try the weedbeds out the front of Coco Crk. 2 guys from work got a heap of doggies and a couple of spotties out there on thursday morning.

Well, that flatish sea we had hoped for didn't quite turn out. Punched our way out to a spot 1km North of Salamander, caught 5 sharks, lost 2 mackeral 5 meters from the boat, and got back late (which made the wife late!)
Oh well its better than mowing the grass I suppose.
Next time will be different!
