High tides just after 7am and with 2m of run i`m thinking i might head over towards rattlesnake and cordelia (if the weather plays the game). ifs its blowy i`ll probly head down to Burrumbush and the haughton to do abit of crabbing and see if there are any jacks about.

Sounds good but I think I'll be mowing and weeding the way things are going. Keep us posted. Need an anchor puller? Give us a call I'll start negotiating with the appropriate minister.

I've been a good boy it seems and will likely be giving Hot Chilli a swim with a friend. If weather is good will be found around rattlesnake/phillips/cordelia area. Did you fix that problem with ya motor Nathan? If its still a worry I'll make room for you on my tub otherwise will probably see you on the water if not before.

Oh, it seems I've been a VERY good boy . Britto on Fri!

Better get to regreasing those trailer bearings!

Few greys macks around rattlesnake isle last weekend, as well as some doggies and spanish. Coral trout have also been having a chew. I'll probly go up leaving from the bohle, preferably if the weather stays under 20/25.

Re: Australia Day in Townsville ?

hmmm - i'm off to Mission Beach on Friday for the weekend - had planned to take the boat. Anyone have any thoughts on whether it's worth taking it in the event the weather is good in the mornings? I'll have Sat / Sun morning to take the boat out. I just think the pm will be rough as guts.

it's a 5.4m glass, so i don't want to take it if there isn't a good chance of going for a run

You could always put the bungs in, throw in a cake of soap and have a bath.
Seriously, I doubt you'll get the boat out and I think the roads will be cut before you get back.

It's only getting worse. The system is travelling northward

Re: Australia Day in Townsville ?

I'm only concerned about getting there, not getting back I can think of worse places to be stuck than Mission Beach.

Yep - those 3m seas with 20kts + just don't really turn me on. > boat will have to stay home and get wet with fresh water from the sky.
