    Dundee Beach Darwin

Hi I'm new to this site and would like to get some any info on fishing around Dundee beach in August.

I have a trip planned and would love to know about fishing this area or any tips on Top End fisihing I can get.

Also any links to good information sites would be appreciated. Most sites are advertising charters. We have our own boats so we are just looking for tips, etc.

    Thanks

    hi tennex
i hired a ute 2 years ago and went for a drive out there from darwin a little bit of dirt road and a couple of creek crossings but nothing to worry about there if its not raining about 2 hour drive from darwin if memory is correct there is a camp site there a pub shop combined boat ramp but i think a 4 wheel drive is the go for launching there i did see them using a tractor and a lot of reef just in front of the ramps to the side and at low tide it is the ramp is pretty steep due to the tide sizes they do get salmon ect off the bank at high tide i did flick a few lures in the water and waded knee deep but then thought how stupid is this its croc country and a creek runs out beside the area. on the way out you pass the turn off to crab claw island as well

Check out the book at this link
    http://www.fishfinderbooks.com/

It's the bible for us Northeners. It has comprehensive info in it for everything around Dundee and much, much more. Pretty expensive at about $29 but if you're spending thousands to go and catch fish then it's a very cheap heads up. I Wouldn't be without it.
