    Hi guys,

I fish the pine quite a bite with a mate James.
Not sure but it might I've been me fishing the area just past the island it's one of my regular haunts, but I was fsihing Saturday not sunday so may be not. .

Fishing4life the pine does hold some nice bream and flathead, and are more than willing to take a softy and sometimes a hard body.
We have picked up some trevally, grunter and pike.
And like anywhere fishes better with a bit of run.

Here are some pics from saturdays session, hit the water about 5.40 and was back to the ramp about 9.30 caught around 10 or so fish and these were the best bream I pulled on the day. All released to catch again.

thanks guys, i think i might put the boat in at about five saturday morning and see how i go, ive been looking out from where i live (otherside of the bridge oppisite the wreck) and there seems to be some nice snags etc to give ago, do you's catch much that side of the bridge(petrie side) or do you think closer to the mouth is the way to go

Re: bream fishing in the pine river

Well it's going to be coming close to the low around 5 am saturday.
Most of the good snags are going to be high dry, at about half tide it would be worth fishing your way up the left side of the river (Looking from your place) that leads to bald hills

Or you could try the trees further up the river but if there are skiers out it won't be great.

I always fined tide is import when fishing the pine, and the low it not the best tide. BUt that's just my opinion.

If you haven't fished it much and are so close maybe treat this trip as a recon fish. Get an idea where the snags are, what they look like without water and decide wether they would be worth a look when the water is in. You may even pick up a fish or two when you're looking.

    Hope you get a few

    Cheers
