I have some mates heading up to D.I. on Friday, has anyone done a beach launch up there recently? Would like to know what the beach is like?
Cheers Troy.

I've launched the tinnie from there a few times it's easier to launch in the sheltered bay area on the Rainbow side of DI. At the moment the rocks at Mudlo are to dangerous to cross and acces to DI is via a long drive up the beach from Tewantin/Noosa or through the Freshwater Track. I've not done Freshwater this year but last year it was pretty sandy, so many vehicles were getting stuck it took hours to get through.Originally Posted by zulu
Best bet is a quick drive up the beach from Noosa then cross the boardwalk to rainbow side there's a small area you can park out of the way of high tide you'll see other 4x4's and trailers parked there. Thats. if the recent weather hasn't washed all the sand away like it has at Inskip
Troyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
where the hell have you been. I haven't got your number so give me a call would be good to catch up.
Mate there isn't much beach left inside that bay area at the moment. You can't get much further then the toilet block so it's pretty exsposed. In small swell it would be a breeze but any northerly direction wind would make it hard. There is also very little depth to launch into.

This is from a couple of weeks ago
A couple of boats came in and had big troubles getting back on the trailer. One received a few big dints in his boat from the trailer and that was with about 8 blokes helping.
