I know this is early notice but this will be a great trip.
Surely most of us has seen this post http://www.ausfish.com.au/forum/YaBB...m=1153134479/0 and now is the time to get in on the act and why not do it with some fello Ausfishers.
There are already three boats keen for the trip in May (if this proves to be the best time to go), hopefully leaving on the day before the long weekend and doing it hard for four or five days.
We ( madman1 and oprey888) are already planning to get slimies and builiding up 300 litres of fuel with the aid of jerry cans for the trip. 300 litres will give the Etec up to 900 kilometres in good conditions. I have calculated it to consume 28 litres/100 km @ 3500 rpm in average conditions which gets us along @ around 40km/hr.
The plan is to base ourselves @ Wathumba and go where the fish are!!! Now is the time to plan a trip like this, get the points and the time off of work and last but not least ask the wives and girlfriends if we can go.
I hope I am allowed.
All should be good and I am definitely looking forward to it.
If anyone out there has any comments (good or bad) please let me know as it is a long way to go for nothing.
Cheers
Mark
PS I have a 525 Stacer Cuddy with a 90 Etec. T
There would be no restiction on smaller vessels either as access to Wathumba is mainly via the lee iof Fraser provided there is no westerly blowing.
