Phil, good work on all that info ... did you look out the window to get half of those phone numbers??

    Cheers,

p.s. Also keen on a trip to Awoonga to have another crack at the barra. If anyone has a tinny suited to dam fishing and wants to swap 'seat for seat' (for an offshore trip) then get in touch.

    Herbster!!!

You should also take the time between now and October, to reflect on your lure casting abilities, and perhaps consider a more suitable...... casting friendly, fishing rod. !!!!!

    Cheers Weiler

    Brian,

I took along my purpose built samuari, and after a couple of hours I swapped rods with Herb.... I don't know what he was using, but it was a shocker, felt like a metal pole after the samuari.

Actually I think he did well using it for lure casting, so if he got hold of a good barra rod, he would do very well.

I'd love to make this one......any little ones going as if the wife and son joined it would sweeten my chances to get the leash released [smiley=whip.gif].

    Ok, I'll bite ....
Roz, you need all the help you can get ... hence Phill & I opted for a deep sea rod and a light surf rod instead of a home-built, custom-made model such as your lightweight little Samurai.
Don't worry, have already gone shopping and will be better equiped come October.
If you'd just put in for some good weather with the man upstairs, like I'd asked you to do, we would've been catching RED fish all week instead we had to resort to plan B, C, D, etc.

It's not like anyone else (with all the RIGHT gear) managed to outfish me and my metal pole!

    See you all in October.

    Hey guys,

I am about to bight the bullet and start calling the real estates that Lucky Phil was kind enough to post for us.

I have just looked at all the rentals available on one of their websites and it seems you can get a 2 bedroom house for about $500 for the week or a 4 bedroom for about $600 upwards.

Obviously gunna be cheaper per person if I rent a larger place. Can anybody that is interested in sharing with me PM me please.

    Thanks
